About the event
Pokémon Day takes place on 27 February every year in honor of the anniversary of the launch of the Pokémon Red and Green video games in Japan back in 1996 which kicked off the entire franchise. Some of the events, campaigns, and promotions linked to each year’s Pokémon Day are connected to the Pokémon TCG; 2025’s iteration of Pokémon Day is no different.
Four promotional cards have been confirmed for release on 27 February 2025 in conjunction with this year’s Pokémon Day. The first three will be the cards featuring the three winning entries of the 2024 Pokémon TCG Illustration Contest; they depict Feraligatr, Pikachu, and Toxtricity ex respectively. Those three cards will have the contest logo in their bottom-right corners.
The fourth card will be a holofoil version of the Sylveon card from Prismatic Evolutions [PRE] which will have the Pokémon Day 2025 logo on its right side. All…
